Volunteerism is one of the three pillars of the LIVE UNITED movement. Volunteers throughout the community are the lifeblood of many non-proft agencies, provide invaluable talent and time and engage the community with neighbor helping neighbor. To help connect qualified volunteers to exciting opportunities throughout Shawnee, Jefferson, Jackson, Douglas Counties and beyond, United Way of Greater Topeka facilitates a unique Volunteer Engagement Center.

At the heart of the VEC is a comprehensive website called Volunteer Solutions which allows local nonprofits to post available opportunities and volunteers to search for and connect to them online.
