United Way Graduates Campaign Ambassadors
(Aug. 24, 2011) Through an intense two-week training program, 16 individuals united to become the 2011 ambassadors for United Way.
They individually began the journey as strangers, and throughout the Campaign Ambassador program have become friends, comrades and champions of the LIVE UNITED cause
The training completion was celebrated during at informal ceremony. A United Way binder along with congratulations were presented by Jeff Beasley, United Way campaign chair; Carol Wheeler, campaign vice-chair; Miriam Krehbiel, president and CEO. The Campaign Ambassador training program began August 15 and included a close examination of various issues facing our community. Trainings centered on community goals in the areas of Education, Income and Health plus an in-depth look at Basic Needs. These basic building blocks for a good quality of life are the community priorities for the greater Topeka community. 2011 Campaign Ambassadors
