2010 Campaign Ambassadors Complete Training

For Immediate Release - August 26, 2010

MEDIA INVITED

CAMPAIGN AMBASSADORS COMPLETE TRAINING

(TOPEKA, Kan.) – Through an intense two-week training program, 20 Topekans unite to advance the common good.

They began the journey as strangers, and throughout the Campaign Ambassador program have become friends, comrades and champions of the LIVE UNITED cause.

The United Way of Greater Topeka Campaign Ambassador program began August 16 and included a close examination of the issues facing our community when it comes to Early Childhood Education, Youth Development, Financial Stability and Health and Wellness.  These basic building blocks for a good quality of life are the community priorities for the greater Topeka area and training centered on issues faced, objectives for the future and how United Way and its community partners are making an impact.

At the close of training, each Campaign Ambassador will be able to understand the varying needs of people throughout of community and how United Way is working with a variety or partners to make a big difference.
