Be a part of the change - Farmer's Market Flash Mob on Saturday August 20 in Topeka, Kan.  To participate, meet in the far South East Corner of the state parking lot at 9:15 a.m. that backs up to Huntoon and Topeka Boulevard (the Northeast corner of the Intersection!). for directions and a FREE LIVE UNITED TEE (or wear a tee if you have one concealed UNDER your clothes).  Be prepared to slip your tee on and conceal it under a jacket, button-up or other shirt.  It's important to cover the tee for the full effect!

At approximately 9:30 a.m., the group will mosey over to the Farmer's Market and at a special signal, everyone will "unveil" their LIVE UNITED tee and freeze in place for three minutes.  The scene will be a powerful reminder that underneath everything we do, we are all connected and have the power to collaborate and create real change in our community through giving, advocating and volunteering.  After three minutes, another signal will be given and everyone will re-cover their tees and can go about their way and enjoy all the bountiful offerings of the Downtown Topeka Farmer's Market!

What is a Flash Mob?

A flash mob (or flashmob) is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual action for a brief time, then quickly disperse. The term flash mob is generally applied only to gatherings organized via telecommunications, social media, or viral emails. The term is generally not applied to events organized by public relations firms or as publicity stunts.

How do I get involved?

There is a FLASH MOB on the horizon!  Show up to the state parking lot (the SOUTH WEST corner which backs up to Huntoon and Topeka BLVD across from BCBS) at 9:15 a.m. If you have a TEE, wear it concealed under your clothes.  If you need one, wear something you can change with in public and make sure you can conceal your tee under a jacket or other shirt.
