When you give to United Way of Greater Topeka, you immediately become part of the collective power of generosity. You become a part of the solution to the many pressing needs and issues in our community.
We recognize that every individual has a different desire and ability to give. Regardless of the amount of your contribution, United Way of Greater Topeka promises to combine your gift with others to deliver long-term solutions to our community.
Leadership Giving
For those of you who would like to make an even more significant impact, we invite you to learn about the opportunities for leadership giving through the Alex deTocqueville Society and Key Club.
Citizen Review Panels
Serving as a citizen review panelist is a unique way in which to contribute your time to United Way. You can become a Citizen Review Panelist.
What is a Citizen Review Panelist?
United Way of Greater Topeka relies on community volunteers to help invest United Way Community Impact funds in important programs in our community. As a Citizen Review Panelist, you attend agency site visits, meet with agency staff, and evaluate United Way funded programs to ensure contributions are invested as efficiently and as effectively as possible. The process is completed in January and February of every year. We need several hundred community-minded citizens to help us accomplish the process.
The time commitment is about 8 hours, but it will provide a year’s worth of benefits to more than 30 agencies, over 80 programs and thousands of need in services in our community. If you or your co-workers are interested, contact Chris Irwin by email at
