Who we serve

United Way of Greater Topeka invests in its community which encompasses Shawnee, Jefferson and Jackson Counties funding more than 70 programs and improving the lives of thousands of infants, children, families, adults and seniors each year.
How we invest
United Way investments are indicated by United Way of Greater Topeka's board of directors. Each program is carefully assessed and evauluated to assure its outcomes meet United Way's requirements and proper documentation clearly illustrates each program meets specific guidelines. Through the allocations process, each program must be presented by its leadership to a group of United Way volunteer panelists. Over 300 concerned community members volunteer their time and talents to this process each year.
